Why do we need a new way of doing business?
Every corner of the world, exhilarating arts and super technology are available to us – yet the US business model has unhealthy, unhappy employees and a management system that in many instances is simply unkind. Health and social issues continue to nag away at the core of the workplace, anti-family and health, for all. This is where Conscious Capitalism becomes the exciting movement which can tackle these issues head on – no concussions.
Give us an idea of how have you helped make the world a better place?
I have dedicated myself to working with outstanding mission-driven public sector and non-profit organizations, with many of them creating great change in our communities, from small to large. It has been an honor to work with so many talented, dedicated individuals who make such significant positive community contributions on a daily basis.
What does Conscious capitalism mean to you?
Our belief statement – businesses have an obligation to elevate the people and communities they serve – encapsulates my excitement about Conscious Capitalism. We have an opportunity to make a difference in companies and therefore their greatest stakeholders – their employees – and therefore all of us – our communities, children, families – win.
